En este clásico de culto, los novios Brad y Janet, atrapados con una llanta pinchada durante una tormenta, descubren la misteriosa mansión del Dr. Frank-N-Furter, un científico travesti. A medida que se pierde su inocencia, Brad y Janet conocen una casa llena de personajes salvajes, incluido un motociclista y un mayordomo espeluznante.
