Este musical cuenta la historia de Simba, un joven cachorro de león, hijo del rey Mufasa y futuro rey de la sabana africana. Su tío Scar está celoso porque le gustaría gobernar en su lugar. Scar prepara una treta para que Mufasa muera en un accidente.
